8月22日，2024國際攀聯(lián)世界青年攀巖錦標賽在貴州舉辦，51個國家和地區(qū)的599名運動員決戰(zhàn)貴州之巔。這是貴陽首次承辦攀巖項目的世界比賽，也是該賽事繼2016年在廣州舉辦之后，時隔8年再次落戶中國。

世界青年攀巖錦標賽是由國際攀巖聯(lián)盟（簡稱“國際攀聯(lián)”，英文為“IFSC”）舉辦的14歲至19歲年齡段最高水平的比賽，每年舉辦一屆，是各國高水平青年攀巖運動員重要的鍛煉成長平臺。
